The story is characterized by themes of violence, death, and the consequences of obstinacy. Duchess also joins Emmet but dies afterward. Emmet reaches the place too late and finds Woolly’s body lying on the ground. Unfortunately, he overdoses and dies while opening the safe containing the money. As well, Woolly manages to locate his trust fund and decides to share the money equally among himself, Duchess, Billy, and Emmet. Therefore, he leaves the car and the keys with Townhouse and instructs him to hand them over to Emmet. However, Duchess believes that Emmet is kind. Upon getting to New York, Duchess and Woolly embark on a revenge mission where they kill people whom they believe framed them. On their way to New York, Emmet and Duchess befriend Ulysses who helps them to locate Duchess and Woolly. Therefore, he plans with Billy to hitch a ride on a train and track his former fellow detainees. Immediately after leaving, Emmet becomes suspicious. Emmet obliges and Duchess and Woolly drive to New York. Therefore, he borrows Emmet’s car and promises to share with him the money. Woolly has a trust fund totaling 150 thousand dollars and he fears being shortchanged by his brother. Woolly and Duchess have escaped from the juvenile facility and want help to head to New York. As the two boys contemplate about the next move, Woolly and Duchess show up. The family farm is being foreclosed on by the bank. Emmet and Billy reunite but another misfortune befalls them.

Therefore, Emmet is released to take care of his younger brother. Emmet’s mother vanished eight years ago and has never been found. Charles Watson has died and his young son is left alone at home. The young man is released a few months prior to completing his sentence.
